I felt the itch to "get moving" this morning. I wanted to be out in the garden, digging, planting, and doing.

But the ground is solid. The air is freezing. Nature has hit the brakes.

As a holistic coach and Crystal Healer, I see us do this all the time: we try to force a "bloom" in the middle of a frozen season. We call ourselves lazy when we’re actually just wintering.

Nature Doesn't Hustle (And Neither Should You)

Nature is teaching me the one thing my ADHD brain hates to hear:

This is the season of deep rest. The trees aren't rushing. The hedges aren't hustling. They are slowly, microscopically, growing new life underneath the frost. They are preparing for Spring, but they aren't sprinting toward it.

If you’ve been craving motivation but feeling stuck, stop fighting it. Your energy is percolating beneath the surface. You aren't "behind" in your life or your business. You are simply tending the soil.

Citrine: Your Winter Pilot Light

In my online crystal healing sessions, I’m recommending Citrine right now.

Citrine carries the frequency of the sun. It’s the "motivational speaker" of the crystal world, but not the kind that screams at you to do more. Instead, it’s a stone of pure joy that dissolves negativity and gloom.

Unlike most stones, Citrine is self-clearing. It doesn’t hold onto "junk," making it the perfect ally for women learning to choose themselves again and let go of external pressure. It doesn’t tell you to run; it just reminds you that the light is coming back.

Stop Rushing Your Rhythm

If you’re sitting in the stillness, holding grief, or feeling the "not doing enough" guilt:

You are the garden.

The buds are coming. The light will return. For now, light a candle, hold your Citrine, and give yourself permission to just be.

Try this: The Winter Spark Ritual

When the "I should be doing more" thoughts get loud, do this for five minutes:

  1. Light a candle: Watch the flame. It represents the sun—and your potential—which is still burning even when it’s cold outside.

  2. Hold your Citrine: Feel its warmth. Imagine its golden light moving from your palm, up your arm, and settling in your solar plexus (your power centre).

  3. The Affirmation: Say out loud: "I am not behind. I am in rhythm."

You aren't "doing nothing." You are refuelling.
